As a child, teenager and young adult, Phil Karasiewicz had many negative labels pinned on him trouble, stupid, skinhead, druggie. Having dyslexia, a reading disability, and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, Karasiewicz had difficulty learning.

Bobcats roll past Mavericks 
Arlington Texas State posted 14 hits and seven RBIs in 8-1 victory over Texas-Arlington. The Bobcats scored the majority of their runs in the second and seventh innings and are now 4-0 in the Southland Conference and 17-8 overall. Texas-Arlington falls to 0-4 in the SLC and 9-16 overall.

Model builder brings the ocean home 
Richard Mitchell is a man who loves the water. The former Navy petty officer has, in a way, brought the ocean home by building replicas of the vessels that charge his imagination.
