Speakers focus on county’s architecture  (Woodworking)

Guy Giersch, historic preservation officer of McKinney, moderated a video and verbal discussion of the unique architectural elements of Collin County on Wednesday at the Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary.

New currency encourages local exchange of goods 
A new currency being used by some in the county may help people become less reliant on the American dollar and more connected to a home-grown exchange system.

Free BPCC program continues to draw students 
Public response has been strong since Bossier Parish Community College received a $1 million grant to provide free training in construction work, officials said. The school received the award in October from the Louisiana Community and Technical College Campus System, the state Labor Department and the U.S. Labor Department’s Employment and Training Administration.
